love is the bridge between you and everything. - rumi
welcome to Loveland
… in the wilds of Southside Virginia, lies a land called Love; a place where horses, humans & the land exist together in harmony.
This is a place to learn, explore & connect through horsemanship, mindfulness & regenerative agriculture.
Every program here is rooted in intention, respect, and real-world experience, designed to help you cultivate skill, presence, and meaningful connection with animals, nature, and your own body.
Whether you’re here to deepen your relationship with your horse, heal mind, body & spirit in nature, witness the power of rescue & performance horses, or support & enjoy sustainable, climate-resilient agriculture, Loveland Grove offers hands-on experiences that inspire, educate, and alter you…
HORSEMANSHIP
Precision | Patience | Presence
Develop clarity, connection, and confidence as you learn to speak the horse’s language through one-on-one sessions at our Horsemanship Center. Featuring a state-of-the-art 50’ round pen, woodland obstacle course, and training trails, each experience builds mutual trust and skill. Work with Belle, our seasoned and attuned mare, bring your own horse for the day, or you can stay with your horse for a weekend intensive to take your partnership to the next level.
EQUINE-ASSISTED MINDFULNESS
Regulation | Awareness | Connection
Experience evidence-based, trauma-informed wellness through mindful connection with horses and nature. Using somatic movement, breathwork, and embodied awareness, sessions restore balance to the nervous system and deepen harmony between mind, body, and spirit. Guided in the Circle and along woodland trails, each encounter invites calm, connection, and renewal.
Regeneration | Resilience | Reciprocity
In 2026, Loveland Farm will launch The People’s Farm, a community food project dedicated to growing and providing consistent, fresh, climate-resilient produce to local families in need at no cost. 6We will also grow mushrooms, herbs, and flowers for our General Store’s botanics, tinctures, and herbal skincare. Across the wider property, woodland agroecology and permaculture systems will restore biodiversity, create thriving food forests, and protect endangered native species - building a self-sustaining microclimate meant to endure for generations to come.
AGRICULTURE

At the Grove, we believe the land remembers what the world forgets. That peace is not something to chase, but something the soil already knows. Here, horses teach stillness, the seasons teach patience, and every living thing becomes a partner in our return to balance. We tend this place as a living prayer: for presence, for belonging, and for the quiet miracle of being alive together.
“I would like my life to be a statement of love and compassion; and where it isn't, that's where my work lies.” - Ram Dass

-
The Loveland Grove is a regenerative sanctuary in Southside Virginia where horsemanship, equine mindfulness, and community farming come together to nurture connection between people, animals, and the earth.
-
At the Grove, training horses is about relationship, not control. It’s the practice of communicating with horses through trust, respect, and awareness - learning to move, breathe, and listen in harmony with another being.
-
Equine mindfulness invites you to be fully present - grounded in your body, open in your heart, and attuned to the subtle language of the horse. It’s not about riding; it’s about being. Each session helps quiet the mind and awaken a deeper sense of connection.
*No horse experience required.
