Farming for the Future

The Farm at Loveland

At Loveland we are creating a micro-ecosystem rooted in sustainable and regenerative practices through agroecology, permaculture, and solar-powered growhouses. As a first-generation farmer, this work is both personal and purposeful - an investment in the future of food, community, and the land.

Loveland exists as a living balance: one branch will be dedicated to feeding the community through The Manna Project, and another will be sustained through The General Store - where cultivation becomes craft. The General Store will grow and create small-batch offerings like specialty crops, mushrooms, microgreens, herbs, and flowers, alongside an apothecary of skincare, medicinal, and ritual herbals & botanicals. Together, they will form a complete ecosystem - one that nourishes both people and purpose while keeping the land at the center of everything.

On our 3.85 acres, the majority of space is woodland and will be dedicated to growing food in ways that work with nature, not against it - building soil health, restoring biodiversity, and strengthening climate resilience. By maximizing the majority of our production through growhouses, we are able to grow year-round while modeling climate-smart farming practices that prove even a small property can have meaningful impact.

Through Winter 2026, we will be focused on setting up the foundation of the farm - establishing solar-powered growhouses, installing water and composting systems, and preparing the soil. By the time we enter Spring 2026, these spaces will already be planted and producing, allowing us to provide fresh, nutrient-dense food for families. This first step ensures that Loveland Grove begins the new year not only growing, but already giving - through both community nourishment and the beauty of its handmade abundance.

The Manna Project

where the sacred & the soil meet.

In South Boston, Virginia

1 in 4 residents live below the poverty line.

The Manna Project exists to ensure everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food.

It is grounded in these principles:

  • Equity: Nourishment is a basic human right.

  • Community Care: We grow and share food to support neighbors in need.

  • Sustainability: Practices are environmentally responsible and regenerative.

Our goal: Provide fresh, chemical-free produce and resources to the people who need it most, while building connection, resilience, and skills within the community.

Immediate Goal: Winter Harvests

Beginning in Winter 2026, we will establish the foundation of Loveland Grove: purchasing Amish-built sheds to serve as solar-powered grow-houses, setting up water catchment and composting systems, and planting crops inside before the year ends. Come Spring 2026, everything will be in place and growing so that families facing food insecurity can receive fresh, nutrient-dense produce for free, even during the coldest months of the year.

Next Step: Feeding more People

As production expands into 2026, Loveland Grove will begin providing weekly shares and seasonal harvest boxes to more households in the community, always free of charge. This stage is about creating consistency so that families can count on fresh, nutrient-dense produce not just in summer, but throughout the entire year. With each added growhouse and crop cycle, we increase the number of families served and strengthen the reliability of what we can provide. Every step forward ensures that more neighbors have dependable access to food grown with care, at no cost, and rooted in sustainability. The goal in 2026 is literally to be feeding thousands of people.

A Food Forest

In the years ahead, our woodland will gradually be transformed into a thriving food forest. Fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes, perennial vegetables, and pollinator habitats will work together as one balanced system. This perennial landscape will regenerate the land, strengthen biodiversity, and ensure a continuous supply of free, fresh food for the community year after year.

How Your Support Helps

The Farm at Loveland Grove exists to provide real families in need and with no access, fresh, nutrient-dense produce at no cost -but creating this kind of community food system takes resources, infrastructure, and steady support. Every contribution helps us take one more step toward feeding more families while caring for the land.

By becoming a steward for The Manna Project, you are directly investing in the mission of Loveland Grove. Your support helps us purchase and set up grow-houses, restore soils, plant fruit trees, and expand harvests so that more families can receive dependable food throughout the year. From seeds to solar systems, every gift you make becomes part of the farm itself.

Stewardship isn’t just a donation - it’s partnership. Together, we are showing what’s possible: that even a small farm can make a big difference in food security, climate resilience, and community connection. Whether you give monthly, annually, or through a specific project, your support makes the mission sustainable and lasting. With your help, Loveland Grove will not only feed families today but create a regenerative, self-sustaining food system that will continue to thrive for generations to come.
